Health and Nutrition Suggestions from your Favorite Teacher

Welcome to my Health and Nutrition Blog ! 

My goal for this blog is to give practical suggestions for my students to continue to progress academically but also physically with healthy lifestyles. The stress and busyness of homework and after-school activities can lead to eating too much convenience food and junk food. Using these suggestions for eating healthy and being active can lead to a lifetime of healthy choices.

  • Participate as a family
  • Buy healthy snacks like pretzels 
  • Encourage eating new foods and vegetables
  • Replace high fat snacks with fruit
  • Shop as a family and allow children to make some healthy choices
  • Include your child in the cooking process
  • Replace television computer time with a family walk or swim
  • Model healthy living for your children
